American Opportunity

A Communications Toolkit

American Opportunity: A Communications Toolkit, is a user-friendly guide instructing advocates on the uses and benefits of the opportunity frame.   The toolkit will assist advocates in applying opportunity themes to topics ranging from overincarceration to media reform and reproductive justice.  It will outline successful campaigns in which an opportunity frame has been applied.  The toolkit will also contain model op-eds and letters to the editor, talking points tailored to a variety of constituencies, sample stories about opportunity, or lack thereof, and a collection of Web resources.

American Opportunity will be released on May 10, 2006.

Attend a toolkit training session offered by the SPIN Project.
