Kevin Hsu, Associate Counsel
Kevin Hsu, Associate Counsel and Robert L. Carter Fellow, holds a J.D. from Georgetown Law Center and a B.A. in Ethnic Studies and Political Science from the University of California – San Diego. While at Georgetown, he served as Editor of the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law & Policy. He worked on transit equity litigation as a law clerk at Public Advocates, Inc. in San Francisco and was a law clerk in the Special Litigation Division of the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Before law school, Kevin gained organizing experience working on the Dean for America campaign and the No on Proposition 54 Coalition. He was also active in advocating for greater access to higher education through the University of California Student Association and the United States Student Association, where he served as a member of the Board of Directors. |

Alicia Marie Williamson, Development Officer
Alicia Marie Williamson, Development Officer, previously served as Development Coordinator for a Pennsylvania civil rights organization. Her work included grants management, special event planning, and individual donor administration. Alicia has worked with a number of nonprofit advocacy organizations targeting issues such as civil liberties, domestic violence, employment discrimination, reproductive rights, and safe-guarding elections. Alicia holds a law degree from City University of New York School of Law, where she served as a member of the New York Law Review. While completing her legal studies at Villanova Law School, where she was a visiting student, she served as a clerk in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Division. Alicia earned her Bachelor's degree from Temple University, where she was invited to join the Intellectual Heritage Society and exhibit her work in the Tyler School of Arts' Annual Student Show. |

Tony Stephens, Communications Associate
Tony Stephens, Communications Associate, has over fifteen years experience in mass media with a solid background working with social justice and human rights campaigns. Starting as a print journalist, he moved into radio, working as a reporter and news director for a noncommercial FM station in Athens, GA. His work on social justice and human rights took center stage while he was in formation to become a Catholic priest, first working with the Franciscans and then the Chicago Jesuits. Tony worked as a public affairs producer, organized grassroots campaigns, and coordinated communications for numerous faith-based organizations. After leaving the Jesuits, he moved to New York and provided communication consultation for various nonprofit groups. Tony holds a Masters in Journalism and Mass Communications and a Bachelors in Journalism, with a focus in Telecommunications, from the University of Georgia. |
