Yasmin Cader, a civil rights lawyer, has practiced in state and federal courts nationwide in the areas of employment discrimination and criminal defense. She has worked with the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice, the Public Defender Service of the District of Columbia, the Federal Defender Office in the Southern District of New York and is currently serving as the Chief of Training for the Federal Defender Office in Los Angeles. Ms. Cader is a member of the faculty of the Trial Advocacy Workshop at Harvard Law School as well as the National Criminal Defense College, and has taught trial skills at various seminars and workshops across the country. Before becoming a trial lawyer, Ms. Cader clerked for the Honorable Damon J. Keith of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a graduate of Yale Law School and Howard University.
